Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment including underground pipes; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate t ractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as harvester, mower, string trimmer, chain saw, truck, tractor, trailer, forklift to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as sod; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools. While a CDL is not required for the job, some workers hired under this job order may already possess or obtain one. Must speak and understand English.
