agricultural equipment operator

This job encompasses work done on row crops, vineyards, hops, and orchards. This is a job description for an Agricultural Equipment Operator. This is a skill level II position and requires verifiable work experience of at least three months as an agricultural equipment operator, irrigation and general farm labor experience. Workers will be expected to work independently with little supervision once given work tasks. General Farm Work will include the following duties:

1.Maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and workers will operate agricultural equipment.

2.Make mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery.

3.May mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable).

4. Remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds.

5.Remove rocks from fi elds, edges of fi elds, concrete ditches, etc.

6.Workers may drive company vehicles to transport crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers if the workers have a valid driver’s license from either a state in the U.S. or their native country. The driver’s license is not a pre-hire job requirement. They may drive workers from living quarters to worksites and vice versa and provide one weekly trip to workers to purchase groceries. Drive times may fluctuate depending on the nature of the crops, business needs, and weather conditions.
