farm laborer

Job requires workers to perform general farm labor, including planting, cultivating, weeding, pruning, staking, tying, harvesting, sorting, grading, packing, and field maintenance for a variety of crops including beans, bush, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cantaloupe, cauliflower, celery, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, gourds, kohlrabi, head lettuce, okra, onions, peppers, pumpkins, spinach, squash, strawberries, tomatillos, tomatoes, watermelo ns, raspberries, flowers, herbs, garlic, rhubarb, and asparagus. Workers will:

•     Prepare fields by removing debris, rocks, and weeds

•     Assist with transplanting and direct seeding

•     Hand‑weed and hoe crop rows

•     Prune plants, remove suckers, and maintain plant health

•     Harvest crops by hand using knives, shears, or other hand tools

•     Sort, grade, wash, and pack produce in field or packing area

•     Load and unload produce, supplies, and materials •     Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment

•     Perform basic farm maintenance such as repairing plastic, trellising, irrigation lines, and row covers

•     Follow all employer instructions and training on safe and proper work methods

Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties.
