Os trabalhadores realizarão qualquer combinação das seguintes tarefas manuais e de máquina envolvidas no plantio, cultivo e colheita de culturas em fazendas de culturas diversificadas, como brócolis, repolho, milho doce e abóbora. Usará equipamentos de energia, incluindo, mas não se limitando a: tratores, plantadores, cortadores, arados, pulverizadores, cultivadores, capinas a laser, elevadores altos, garfos, elevadores, carregadeiras deslizantes. Inspecionará equipamentos, estruturas ou materiais para identificar avarias e auxiliar na manutenção preventiva de equipamentos agrícolas. Manipulará os controles para definir, ativar e ajustar os mecanismos no maquinário. Prenderá implementos agrícolas, como arados, discos, pulverizadores ou colheitadeiras, a tratores usando parafusos e ferramentas manuais. Operará máquinas rebocadas para plantar fertilizantes e pulverizar culturas. Conduzirá caminhões para transportar colheitas, suprimentos, ferramentas ou trabalhadores rurais. Andará ao lado ou andará em máquinas de plantio enquanto insere plantas em mecanismos de plantação em intervalos especificados.

A produção agrícola exigirá dias de 6 a 12 horas. Work is performed in the field for long periods of time performing physical activities that require extensive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, walking, bending repetitively, and lifting up to 60 lbs up to a height of 5 feet. Work required in fields when plants are wet with dew and rain, and will be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from 10 to over 100 degrees F. Workers will be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Saturday work required.

Supervisor(s) will provide instructions and directions to workers. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively to supervisors. Unusual, complex or non-routine activities will be supervised. Workers are expected to perform basic duties in a timely and proficient manner without close supervision. Workers are expected to have proper hygiene and follow GAP requirements. Workers must obey all safety rules and basic instructions and be able to recognize, understand and comply with safety, pesticide warning/re-entry and other essential postings. Non-working minors may not be present, adjacent to worksites, or left in vehicles during the day. No visitors unauthorized by management may be present at worksites.

Tobacco use is strictly prohibited during working hours. No smoking or tobacco use of any kind permitted in the fields, worker housing or commodity shed. Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas, and only during a break or meal period. This is necessary to protect against transmission of toxins and contamination from tobacco by-products. Employer reserves the right to discharge any employee found smoking or in possession of smoking materials, including cigarettes, cigars, snuff, chewing tobacco, pipe tobacco or smoking paraphernalia. Cell phone use prohibited during working hours, except during a bona fide emergency.

Use, possession, transfer, offer, sale or manufacture of controlled substances strictly prohibited. All work sites are alcohol and drug free work places. Employees must not report for work, enter the employer's property or perform service while under the influence of or having used alcohol, marijuana, illegal controlled substances, or any other substance that may in any way adversely affect their alertness, coordination, reaction or safety.

Three months experience in commercial conventional farming in the jobs listed is required. Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of three months verifiable experience in performing the tasks posted in this job order. Persons seeking employment in this position must be available for the entire period requested by the employer.
