Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate primarily late model John Deere tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as grain cart, seed tender, combine, planter, tillage tool to plow, harr ow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, corn, soybeans; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive Kenworth trucks with automatic transmissions to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand to ols; While a CDL is not required for workers that operate or repair machinery, workers that drive truck to transport products from fields to storage areas might possess a CDL; speak and understand English.
