Workers will perform any combination of the following tasks, attend to cattle, clean water troughs, attend to pastures and/or fields, examine animals to detect diseases and injuries, spray insecticide, assist with castration, clip identifying notches, brand or clip tags on animals, clean around barns, trim trees, clear roads of debris, repair and construct buildings, repair and construct fences, maintain fence line, maintain landscape around head quarters, load, unload and corral cattle. Workers will operate tractors to plow, plant, harvest, and bale hay. Workers will load and unload hay to store and feed animals. This is a calf-cow/backgrounder operation and requires seasonal workers when the calves are brought in as year-lings and then sold. There is no work in February through March. 3 months of experience operating tractors and handling cattle is required for the safety of the workers and cattle. Workers that process a drivers license will drive farm trucks at the work site and in the fields.
