Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment including routine assistance in changing oil/filer/belt, repairing tires/chains; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipme nt including underground pipes; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as harvester, mower, string trimmer, chain saw, truck, tractor, trailer, forklift to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, corn, sod, hay; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spre ad topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools.
