agricultural equipment operator

Our primary operation is raising seed corn, commercial corn, and soybeans, with the season typically beginning around mid-March and concluding with tillage by mid-December. We also purchase feeder cattle in the spring and sell them before the end of the year. Job duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; fertilizing and spraying crops, including applying fertilizer or pesticide so soluções para controlar insetos, fungos, ervas daninhas e doenças usando pulverizadores manuais; carregar e descarregar culturas ou materiais manualmente ou com transportadores, empilhadeiras, sem-fins de transferência ou caminhões manuais; carregar tremonhas, contêineres ou transportadores usando empilhadeiras, sem-fins, portões de sucção, pás ou forquilhas; orientar produtos em transportadores para regular o fluxo e remover material doente ou podre; manipular controles para definir, ativar e ajustar a mecânica do equipamento isms; observing and listening to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; recording agricultural data as required; and completing routine repairs and maintenance on all equipment. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
