Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and a djust mechanisms on machinery for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, storing, transporting from field to storage or market facilities grain and oilseed crops; Operate or tend primarily John Deere equipment (equipped with GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, sprayer, truck, grain cart, mower to produce crops such as corn, soybeans, cotton; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery mal functions; Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, planters, harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools; Operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops; Irrigate soil monitor water levels; speak and understand English.
