I need seasonal employees to assist with our cattle ranching operation from February until December. They will need to assist with all forms of ranch work during this season. This will include repair and maintain fences, welding (arc), using a cutting torch, repairing and maintaining water wells, pipelines, and water troughs. Employee will work cattle by horse, as well as operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and UTVs. Duties will include herding, castrating, branding, vaccinating, catching and loading cattle. Employee will also need to put out mineral, salt and liquid feed, and check for sick and injured cattle. Employee will complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. I do not need an employee during the months of December and January as those are winter months, which means we are done with all that year’s calves because they all have been branded, weaned, and sold and no further assistance is needed until calving starts in the spring. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
