landscape laborer

Duties may include: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, litter, leaves and debris. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, plant bulbs, flowers, foliage, grass, ground covers, shrubs, and trees (attach wires and support stakes).  Deadhead, prune, or trim flowers, foliage, plants, shrubs and trees. Maintain or repair fences. Provide proper upkeep to sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruners, shears, and wheelbarrows. May operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as  work trucks with small utility trailers, mowers, trimmers, edgers, pruning saws and leaf blowers. Clean worksite to ensure safety & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:45AM-4:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
