- Accommodate hotel and resort patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests

- Issuing room key cards

- Keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts

- Making and confirming reservations

- Providing hotel amenity, resort, and area information

- Presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests

- Other job duties under SOC-Code 43-4081 may be performed such as the following: - Arranging Guest Services: Organizing tours, securing transportation, or making restaurant reservations for guests to enhance their stay.

-Handling Mail and Messages: Date-stamping, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and messages to guests promptly.

-Managing Valuables: Depositing guests' valuables in the hotel's safes or safe-deposit boxes for secure storage. -Performing Bookkeeping Activities: Balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits to maintain accurate financial records.
