Drive tractors: prepare fields, plant, cultivate and harvest crops; unload and store seeds and supplies; haul seeds, fuel to field. Perform general farm labor jobs: maintenance on farm equipment (clean, oil, repair); repair fences; repair and clean farm buildings (sheds, barns, etc.); mow areas around buildings and keep clean and free from debris Repair farm machinery/equipment; service tractors (change oil, air filters, etc. as scheduled); prepare fields for planting (digging trenches to drain water, disking, rowing-up, subsoiling; plant soybeans using planters (calibrate planters and spraying equipment as necessary); Drive 250 hp tractors with 12 row farm implements such as hippers, planters, sprayers, shredders, discs; use hipper to row-up fields. Irrigate fields (haul pipe and lay out center pivot irrigation system to fields), repair and service irrigation systems; unload and store seeds; haul seeds, water and fuel to field; Use hoes, shovels, wrenches, etc. Some heavy lifting (30 lbs.) Work outside 99% of the time. Alternative work includes general farm maintenance, cleaning shed areas, etc. Drug testing can be conducted at Brad Maloney Farms expense if at any time employer feels it is necessary to ensure safety in the workplace. Drug testing will be conducted after hiring. Random drug testing will be done post hiring, for cause testing, post-accident testing. This job is performed around various farm implements-tractors where workers must be fully functional and aware of their surroundings and the other workers at all times.
