Raising honey bees to produce honey and maintain health through feeding and medicating; assembling frames and boxes; pulling and extracting honey; moving and placing hives; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment, worksite, and colony boxes; prepare bees and bee equipment for peak season; replacing queens, making divides, making boxes, supering hives, and pulling honey; harvest, extract, and produce honey; haul bees to and from different l ocations; general maintenance and servicing of equipment and facility; performing duties including boxing, weighing and loading of product; assisting in loading trucks with product weighing up to and including 60 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet for long periods of time; working on feet in bent positions for long periods of time; requires repetitive movements and extensive walking; allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, insect spray, related ch emicals, etc. may affect workers ability to perform the job; workers must have no fear of bees and be non-allergic to bee stings, pollen, honey or other products of the hive; workers are exposed to wet weather with temperatures ranging from 10 to 100 F; workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Workers should be physically able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations.
