Workers will manually plant, cultivate and harvest flowers and vegetables including; thinning and weeding plants using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes and rakes. Workers will manually mix soils, fill containers with soil, and plant specialty crops. Workers will also dig, cut, pick, bunch, clean and grade crops by hand. Workers will be responsible for culling spoiled and immature vegetables, spacing and trimming plants. Workers must take care to not scar or bruise vegetables during harvesting and/or packing process. Workers must be able to lift 50 pound crates/boxes of harvested vegetables. Workers may drive tractors to pull harvest wagons and may move, repair and assemble irrigation equipment, perform greenhouse repairs and maintenance and participate in farm and field clean up.
